Sheriff John J. Feyen, Larimer County Sheriff, gave a very interesting and informative presentation about the duties of the Office of the Sheriff which include:
Law Enforcement
Keeper of the Jail
Office of the Court
Court Security
Fire Warden
Search & Rescue
Hazardous Materials
He also passed out cards with Wildfire Information and shared their webiste https://aegis.larimer.gov. He also encouraged everyone to sign up for NOCO Emergency Alerts and Evacuation Notices at www.nocoalert.org.
Niki, Stacey and others helped our Middle and high School Interact students raise $620 at the Christmas parade by taking donations for hot Cocoa and Cider. Proceeds benefit our Interact Clubs for Community Service projects.

What: Sunrise Rotary's Annual Holiday Party - Potluck and Gift Exchange

Bring: appetizer/main dish/side dish/dessert - Sunny has the sign up sheet
Gift Exchange: Bring a gift to exchange ($20 or less).
Now through January 15th, bring your old/bad holiday strings of lights to our Sunrise Rotary Meetings or any of the following drop off locations:
Estes Valley Library
Estes Park Elementary & Middle Schools
National Park Village
EP Rec Center.
We do not accept ornaments, trees or wrapping paper.
Our four-member team from the Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary Club—Jean Rissmiller, John Minier, Paul and Teresa Mueller—have returned from the Amazon Rainforest where they installed a WallSpring Solar Water Purification System, capable of providing up to 13,680 gallons of clean drinking water per day to the Achuar community. The team will deliver a program on the success of the project on Tuesday morning, December 16th.
Sleigh the games:
Volunteer Opportunity @ $20/hr for Sunrise Rotary Club
Sleigh The Games is a new holiday event sponsored by The Town of Estes Park.
This new holiday adventure event takes place December 12-14 at the Event Center and around town. Sleigh The Games combines over a dozen fun, active, winter-themed games & competitions with great entertainment, holiday charm, and adventures for all ages.
Event organizer, Josh Kravetz, is asking non-profits and clubs like ours to please volunteer at the event.
There are volunteer opportunities for set up Friday 12/12 and on the main event days on Saturday 12/13 and Sunday 12/14. These roles would include: participant check in, games referee, green team, parking direction, event marshals, and a variety of other roles.
They pay $20/volunteer hour and shifts are usually 4 hours. Some roles can accommodate people that need to sit or be stationary. Others require heavy lifting and athleticism. They expect to have around 100 volunteer shifts.
If you are interested in volunteering, click below. Some of us may want to work multiple shifts over the 3 days. Great way to fundraise for EVSR.
