Our joint social with Noon Rotary is on Thursday, 5:00pm May 30th at High Peak Camp. The Salvation Army has this camp for a retreat of inner city kids to have an experience at a camp.
There will be dinner and aa tour of the Camp.

Shred of Hope is a Fundraising Event that benefits The Bridge of Estes, a Non-profit Providing Services and Support to Cancer Patients in the Estes Valley. (see brochure below)

Robert Armstrong, Chief Credit Officer at Bank of Estes Park, is retiring tomorrow. He and his wife, Carla, are moving to Nice, France. Please feel free to come to his Open House today and tomorrow at Bank of Estes Park on Park Lane. Meet his successor Dwight Pfeiffer.
The Ukraine Kitchen offers a 3-course meal for no charge – only a donation is requested. They have moved to the Rocky Mountain Church at 451 Promontory Drive, near Mary’s Lake from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. every Tuesday.
The Senior Center is offering a First Aid course on Fri., June 7 from 1 to 3 p.m., and a CPR/AED class will be offered on Sat., June 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. And, if they have enough members register for the CPR/AED class, it will also be offered that Saturday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. The classes will be taught by Debbie Holmes, an American Heart Association certified instructor. Must register by June 1st. The cost of these classes for members will be $40 for one class or $60 for both.
Pass the Gavel June 25th is at 5pm at O'Connor Pavilion. Drinks from 4-5pm and Dinner will be around 5pm. Please plan to welcome in Bill Howell as your next President.

This was a fantastic presentation today! Katherin Avery talked about Restoration Ranch Colorado, a 501(c)(3), which she founded after the tragic car crash which killed her husband. The Ranch provides recreation, respite, and vacation opportunities to emergency communication specialists (dispatchers), fire/EMS, law enforcement including Department of Corrections and park rangers, ED/ICU personnel, victims’ advocates, members of the judiciary, and their families.
Valor Vacations®, one of the programs offered by Restoration Ranch Colorado, was started in 2021 by Kathryn Severns Avery. Her husband, Christopher, was killed in 2020 by three robbery suspects fleeing from Lakewood (Colorado) Police. Knowing she would be unable to use her vacation rental while pursuing justice for her husband, she offered time at the property to the Lakewood PD. Because of the ongoing judicial proceedings, the offer was passed to West Metro Fire. The program has expanded and now vacation rental owners, hotels and resorts across the country donate stays at their properties to Valor Vacations®. Stays are offered to all stakeholders and their families at a substantial discount.
