It's Time for Rotary Matching Grants
If you are interested in giving a donation to your local nonprofit of choice AND have Sunrise Rotary match your donation, our Matching Grants Program doubles a member’s donation up to $200.
If a club member gives $200, EVSR will match that $200 and the nonprofit will receive $400.
• Eligible local nonprofits must be registered with the Estes Park Nonprofit Resource Center (EPNRC). Certain international nonprofits will be allowed: Rotary Charities, YMCA, and Salvation Army.
• Members can apply for a matching donation up until March 31st , 2025.
Download the form and give your matching grant form and donation to Niki Gassmann by March 31, 2025.
The holiday lights recycling service project has ended.
1) Thank you to Dean Belka for bringing the program idea to our Rotary Interact Clubs.
2) In the end, we collected 842 lbs of lights resulting in $218. The Interact clubs will use the funds for community service once they decide on one or more projects.
3) Thanks to Bill Howell who made several trips to deliver the lights to Ft Collins for recycling between November 15-January 15th.
4) We look forward to offering this program again next year.
Community Grants - Applications are Open!
Did you know that we, the Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary (EVSR), invite proposals from charitable organizations in the Estes Valley for grants to support programs and projects (Programs) to benefit the Estes Valley community?
This year (2025) we are focusing on nonprofits that benefit children.
To apply for funding, nonprofit organizations should complete and submit the following grant application below no later than March 31, 2025. They can email the application to: EstesSunriseRotary@gmail.com
2025 Rotary International convention - calgary, Canada june 21-25, 2025

Rotary Youth Exchange programs are open to students ages 15-19. To qualify, applicants should be above-average students who have demonstrated leadership in their community. Candidates should also possess qualities such as flexibility and a willingness to try new things that will enable them to fully experience life in another country and become excellent cultural ambassadors. All applicants must be sponsored by a local Rotary club and complete a written application and in-person interview.
RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a life-changing leadership training program where young people learn, develop, and enhance leadership skills and principles in an atmosphere of trust and respect. RYLA encourages and assists current and potential youth leaders in methods of responsible and effective leadership. Many past RYLAriansclaim, “It was the best week of my life!”
RYLA - Sunday, July 27 – Friday, August 1, 2025
Students who are currently a high school sophomore, junior, or senior, may apply to attend RYLA. Generally, applicants selected have excelled in one or more areas of high school involvement and have potential or proven leadership experience. RYLA will be held at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. Colorado.
Young RYLA - June 22 - June 27 2025 or July 6 – July 11, 2025
Any current 7th grader may to apply to attend either one of the Young RYLA Conferences. Both conferences in 2024 will be held at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. Colorado.
RYLA Plus - June 22 - June 26, 2025
Physically disabled students who are currently a high school sophomore, junior, or senior, may apply to attend RYLA. RYLA Plus will be held at the Easter Seals Colorado – Rocky Mountain Village in Empire Colorado.
Our 2023/2024 Outbound Rotary Youth Exchange student, Naomi McDonald gave a fantastic presentation about her year in Ecuador as an Outbound Rotary Youth Exchange. Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary sponsored her Youth Exchange in Ecuador from August 2023-July 2024. She had two host families; the first family in Portoviejo and the second family in Cuenca. She showed us pictures and talked about here experiences there during the 11 months of her Rotary Youth Exchange.
