Chili Cook off and Broncos watch party, Sunday, November 17th, 12pm @ The Barrel
Bring your prize winning chili to be shared and judged at our November Social at The Barrel (251 Moraine Ave) for a Chili Cookoff and Bronco’s Watch Party on Sunday, November 17 beginning at Noon.
If you don't want to cook, please bring a side dish or dessert to share. To participate in judging the chili, you can purchase 3 tickets for $5 at the event.
The Broncos game will be on multiple screens so you can watch the game, have great food and judge the winning chili with fellow Rotarians.
Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.
We are collecting new toy donations through Dec 19th at the Legion in the boxes marked "Toys for Tots". Last year we didn't get very many gifts for ages 3 & 12-17 years old.
The annual Sunrise Rotary Christmas Party is Thursday, December 19th from 6pm-9pm at the WayFinderRestaurant featuring a sit-down dinner.
Please plan to bring a gift (up to a $20 value) to exchange in the Secret Santa drawing.
The menu will include a Salad, Rolls and Dessert with your Entree Choice of:
- Ribeye and Fries
-Chicken with Pasta
-Salmon and Mashed Potatoes
-Vegetarian Option
A Cash Bar will be available.
RSVP needed by December 10th to Sunny Schmitt or sign up at our weekly meetings. A $20 donation per person is requested to cover the cost of the venue.
Volunteers needed at the Annual Yuletide Open House
The Stanley Home Museum is looking for volunteers to be room monitors at their annual Yuletide Open House. Two and a half and three hours shifts are available each day.
As a room monitor you greet guests as they go through the house. Ask that they do not
touch toys that have a tag stating (Please do not touch) Encourage guests to touch and play with toys that will be set up for that specific purpose.
The Yuletide theme this year is “Toys from the Past.” Do you have an erector set, Lincoln logs,
slinky, Shirley Temple or Raggedy Ann doll, a vintage teddy bear, monopoly game or a jack in the box?
What toys might you still have in the back of a closet or in the attic?
You can be part of this celebration by allowing the Stanley Home Museum to borrow your favorite toys from the early to mid 1900’s
The toys will be on display in each room (for viewing only, no touching). These borrowed toys will be handled very carefully by staff, understanding that they are precious items.

Today we presented the Estes Park Police Department’s Auxiliary Unit with a $1000 check for Blue Santa
Mark Hertz, a Lieutenant for the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office working with the Drug Task Force, spoke to us about the NOCO Drug Enforcement Task Force and the work they do to protect the community by identifying, investigating, and impacting drug-related crime in Larimer County.
