Speaker: Leslie Glover, 2023 Director for Autumn Gold

Leslie reviewed the Autumn Gold event and gave praise and thanks to her committee for their work on this year's event.  She invited each of the committee team leads to give a brief update.

Leslie couldn't say enough for Jeff Crona's 19 years of organizing the Raffle sale.  Because of some gaming license expiration, Jeff had to race to Denver to update his license or our Raffle sale would have been either cancelled or postponed.  Jeff made it to the Denver gaming & license board office 5 min before they closed.  They let us know on Friday before AG that our license was approved and we could do our Raffle. 

Mark Holdt congratulated Terri Martin for her ability to bring in more than $37K in sponsorships and about another $7K of In-Kind sponsorships.  He pointed out that Terri was instrumental in getting several new sponsors this year. Mark also reported a record $25K in beer sales this year. Despite a 5% increase on the beer, we raised beer prices to $7 and came out ahead. 

Karen Nicholson talked about the Bands and congratulated everyone who helped to feed the bands, the sound people and to the auxiliary police who kept parking spaces available for the bands. Huge kudos to Karen for her networking to bring us the caliber of Bands that perform for us. 

Bill Howell said there were not incidents at Autumn Gold and it was the most family friendly event yet, thanks to the organized kid games that were sponsored by the Estes Park Rec center. 

David White echoed Bill's comment about no incidents, except that he did have to prevent someone from "...hopping the fence". David thanked Mike & Pat McKinney and Kendra for their help in moving the tents and everything back into the storage shed after the event. 

Jean talked about the food vendors and their success. Steamy Wieners said this was their top selling event of the summer in just two short days.  Next year they will offer Elk Brats and forego the hot dogs. Umami was the new Asian food vendor that was a hit. Josh Collins, BBC Concessions, plans to offer vegetarian hot dogs/corn dogs next year. People want a corn vendor so we'll see what we can do to bring that back. High Desert nuts had their best year yet and are retiring on a high note!

Leslie thanked Susan Johnston for her great work at organizing the volunteers. She read an email from Susan who thanked the volunteers for their time.  Susan said that by outsourcing the Brats to Steamy Wieners we needed 40% less volunteers than last year.  

Leslie thanked Mike and Pat McKinney for their time and efforts with the Car Show.  The trophies were spectacular and hand made by Mike himself.  The Silent Auction made $500 and the goody bags were chock full of good "stuff".  

Leslie thanked John for his efforts in reconciling all the expense requests, John Tessler reported that requests for checks are still coming in so it will be the end of this month until we know our profits on Autumn Gold. John said overall he felt it was our biggest and best year yet. John thanked Richard Ward for counting the money and being there to make change. 

Leslie again thanked everyone, especially her #1 "man", Mark Holdt, her #2 "man", David White, and her #3 "man", Bruce Johnston.  

We all thanked Leslie for a terrific job well done!
