Scott Applegate shared that Bill & Judy Howell have received a commendation from the Loveland Marine Crops League for all their Volunteer work. Also, Jean Tasker, Bank of Estes Park, has been recognized as 1 of 10 Women of Distinction.

John Tessler announced that the Legion is having an Ice Cream social on Sunday, July 28th from 2pm-5pm at the Legion. There will also be specialty drinks. It coincides with the start of the Summer Olympics.
John Tessler announced a Sunrise Rotary breakfast buffet price increase to $18 and a coffee only price of $8 cash or 3 for $25 by credit card.
Keith Willabus, prospective Sunrise Rotary member, announced his new business, Mountain Oasis Nursery, now open at 487 Pine River Ln in Estes Park. Mountain Oasis Nursery provides fresh organic microgreens, live plants, and organic vegetables (including tomatos). Their goal is to provide for all of the horticultural needs in the Estes Valley. They are a source for many of our local restaurants in Estes Park. They are open for business 7 days/week, 10 AM - 6 PM. Stop by and see Keith at the greenhouse on Pine River Lane.

John Minier announced that he and Jean Rissmiller will present on the Ecuador Clean Water project to our D5440 Global Grant committee tomorrow to seek District matching for up to $15K of our $42K overall project. Upon approval, our Ecuador host clubs can start the Rotary International Global Grant application (with our help) seeking RI approval for our entire project. Plans are to do the installation in Ecuador around the first of November. If anyone is interested in helping with the installation in Ecuador, please let John Minier know.

Program
Today's program was an update from the Estes Nonprofit Network. The Network aims to serve and strengthen the Estes Valley nonprofit industry by providing essential education, resources and collaboration opportunities, fostering a more interconnected nonprofit ecosystem.
Cato Kraft was our speaker and talked about the Network's programs & services as well as their many accomplishments this year.
The Network turned $28K in costs into $347,000 worth of educational programs last year - a 12x multiplier effect of investment in local nonprofits! In 2024 they are projecting over $500K worth of education program value returned to local nonprofits.
